A graduate of Ashford University with a Masters in Education and specializing in Early Childhood Education, Herika R. Raymer also holds a Bachelor's in Social Sciences and an Associate's in Computer Engineering. Mrs. Raymer worked with Hardeman University and earned her Practitioner Teacher license in 2017 which was promoted to a Professional Teacher License in 2021. In addition to formal training, she is familiar with TECTA and CDA guidelines.
Herika R. Raymer began her education career at Northwest Head Start in Moscow, TN in 2012. She worked as an Early Head Start teacher and Family Advocate and later as a Head Start Family Advocate. Her time in the classroom full-time began at the Shelby County PreK in 2017 and later advanced to Kindergarten. She's worked at public elementary schools and charter elementary schools. In November 2022, Mrs. Raymer transferred from Shelby County to Fayette County and began work with Oakland Elementary Kindergarten. The 2023-2024 school year found her transferred back to her beginnings in PreK, which she continues for the 2024-2025 academic year.
