Oakland Students, Families, & Staff,
I’m both honored and grateful to be the Assistant Principal at Oakland Elementary. My journey in education started in Fayette County Schools back in 2013 at Jefferson Elementary, and since then, I’ve gained valuable experience in both the charter world and Memphis Shelby County Schools (MSCS).
With a primary focus on third-grade math, I’ve also taught fourth and fifth grades, as well as English Language Arts. My passion for professional growth led me to become a Professional Learning Community (PLC) Coach during my last year at MSCS, where I worked closely with educators to enhance teaching practices and improve student outcomes. Last year, I was thrilled to join Oakland as the Instructional Coach, where I continued to refine my skills in curriculum development.
As I embark on this new role, I am committed to collaborating with our fantastic principal, dedicated faculty and staff, and our loyal community to build a positive and inclusive school culture. I take pride in supporting both educators and students, and I’m passionate about harnessing our collective strengths to ensure every student has the opportunity to thrive.
Thank you for welcoming me into this role—I am excited to Learn, Grow, and Contribute to the success of Oakland.
